Caravan holidays Dorset

Dorset is a county of many wonderful locations and is bursting with stunning scenery. It is one of the maritime counties of southern England, fronting the English Channel which separates the UK from Europe. Its coastline stretches around 140 kilometres from Lyme Regis in the west to Christchurch in the east, and has an excellent variety of sandy beaches.

The award winning heritage coast starts in Poole Harbour and includes the Purbeck coastline which boasts special nature reserves, countryside and marine parks. Moving westwards, is the Chesil Bank, a lovely pebbled beach, extending 25 kilometres from Weymouth to Bridport.

Holiday Parks, Touring Caravan Sites, Camping Sites, Lodges and Holiday Homes are of plenty in Dorset. You will find different locations from exciting seaside resorts to picturesque rural locations. Many of the bigger holiday parks give you the chance to purchase your own caravan or lodge.

The Shrubbery Caravan and Camping Park is located along the Heritage Coastline at Rousdon within a wonderful area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Right on the Devon and Dorset border, it is only 3 miles from the stunning Lyme Regis with its sand filled beach, harbour and famous Cobb. Pitches for tents and caravans, Pets are welcome and there is even a designated Dog walking area.

Monkton Wyld Farm Touring Caravan Park is idyllic. Wonderfully maintained and landscaped for family touring caravan and camping park. The park covers 23 acres and has 180 pitches.

If you have never been to a holiday park before, then Dorset holds many surprises for you. Whether you decide on a luxury caravan, holiday cottage, timber lodge or an apartment, there is always something to do and excellent scenery and places of interest to visit.

It is the ideal place to relax and explore the numerous attractions, from historic houses and museums, to country parks, shops and markets selling fine local crafts and produce. You can explore the region on foot, by bicycle or on horseback.
